Our Manitoba Customer Service Centre, opened in 2003, is a fully automated facility modeled on best-in-class case-ready plants in Europe and North America. The Vantage Winnipeg Service Centre also hosts our corporate case-ready training facility. All Vantage Management train at this facility to ensure company-wide consistency on Quality, Safety, Lean Management, and Continuous Improvement standards.
Uniquely designed to meet best-in-class food safety and quality standards, this HACCP regulated facility provides a full case-ready fresh meats program to Canada Safeway Limited in the Central Canadian region.
With state-of-the-art processing equipment and just-in-time inventory management technology, this 53,000 square foot facility is a North American leader.
Our Winnipeg Customer Service Centre:
- Employs 130 customer service professionals
- Processes over 240 different products (lamb, veal, pork, beef, ground beef, and sausage)
- Turns products around same day (raw materials are processed in the morning and delivered to 57 Canada Safeway stores the same night)
- Features the latest in automated processing equipment and supply chain technology
- Individually cuts, weighs, trays, and prices each product
- Fills over 350,000 meat trays each week
- Delivers over 28,000 totes in a typical week
- Runs six 8-hour shifts each week
