Opened in 2003, our Winnipeg Service Centre is a fully automated facility modeled on best-in-class case-ready plants in Europe and North America.  This service centre also hosts the Vantage case-ready training facility.

This 53,000 sq.ft. HACCP certified facility provides a full case-ready fresh meats program for 56 Canada Safeway stores in the Central Canadian region and 30 North West stores in central and northern Canada, and:

• Processes over 240 different products (lamb, veal, pork, beef, ground beef, and sausage)
• Features the latest in automated processing equipment and supply chain technology
• Fills over 350,000 meat trays each week
• Delivers over 28,000 totes in a typical week
• Runs six, 8-hour shifts each week
