Our newest service centre is scheduled for launch November 2011. This 48,000 sq.ft. facility sits on a large parcel of land in Belleville, Ontario—strategically located adjacent to major transport arteries throughout Ontario, Quebec, and into the Maritime provinces.  Like all Vantage service centres, the local community (Belleville and surrounding area) has been resourced to complete the facility. Food processing equipment and IT for this service has been sourced internationally in accordance with global best-in-class standards.

Initially, our Belleville service centre will supply 115 Food Basics retail food stores (Metro) with a full case-ready fresh meats program. In its first year of operation, the facility will employ 150 local personnel, with the expectation of further hires as plant capacity ramps up.  Belleville will be HACCP certified, equipped with a full service food science laboratory, and operate according to CFIA food safety protocols and government work safety regulations.
