Apprenticeships for Meat Cutters
As part of Vantage Foods’ commitment to employee development, we offer both formal and informal apprenticeships for production operation employees to be trained as meat cutters.
Some Service Centres (e.g. Chilliwack, British Columbia) tie their apprenticeship program to provincial certification programs and sponsor employees for formal training off-site as part of their apprenticeship. Other Service Centres provide on-the-job training and testing to build individual skills and competencies for employees who demonstrate the ability to handle meat cutter responsibilities.
Opportunities for participation in the apprenticeship programs in any Service Centre will be based on staffing needs and candidate selection will be based on local staffing practices.
